2012 Business Checklist

I have cash flow issues. I have profit challenges. I have a successful business but it could use some “fine tuning”. I have some good ideas for the business but can’t find the time to implement them. I’d like to get an objective opinion about the way my business is run. I have an aggressive vision for the business, but I’m not sure how to get there. My organizational structure just evolved. We didn’t have a well thought out plan. I wish I had a trusted resource I could call for business advice. My business has some ongoing problems that continue to challenge me. I’m much better at the “technical side” than the business side. My business is outgrowing my skills. I’m working extra hours and I’m stressed. I have upgraded our computers, software, etc. but haven’t upgraded my own skills. I spend more time putting out fires than on long range issues and the big picture. I don’t do all the critical things needed to run my business the way I’d like. Sometimes I wonder if I am both the arsonist and the fireman. I’ve tried delegating but I get poor results so I try to do to much of it myself. I feel like my experience hasn’t prepared me for running my business. I realize we need to make some changes, I just don’t have the time or expertise. Planning and goal setting follow through is an issue for us.
